Lowestoft Club Championship - Fletcher Cup

The Lowestoft Chess Club holds an annual Club Championship which is played between October and May each year. There is a Junior Tournament held within the event itself.

Long Play Barnard K/O Cup (Closed)

Just to let you know that with effect from the first week in May 2012 the new club knockout cup will start. It will be a single game match and the person drawn first will have to contact their opponent within seven (7) days to arrange to play it within three (3) weeks from notification from me of the draw.

Failure to contact your opponent will result in a loss. Colours will be decided by the toss of a coin or drawing of lots (ie pieces in hands and selected) and results will be sent to me via EMAIL only.

The overall winner will receive a trophy.

To enter this competition I require your name, email address, home phone number and a mobile number too. That way, nobody can say they haven't been able to contact their opponent if one of the afore mentioned forms of communication fails.

Entries to me please by no later than April 28th in the form of an email.

Lowestoft Closed Swiss Tournament

The Club will be holding a closed Swiss tournament over a weekend to be decided around June/July. I will let you know when this will be.

The format will be that of a normal Swiss setup BUT will only be limited to club members and like all competitions will be graded.

If you wish to play then please email me showing that you are interested within 14 days of this email.
